Kevin Griswold was a mainstay on the offensive line for North during the 1982 and 1983 seasons. His intensity and determination were characteristics that made him the quiet leader that he was.
During his tenure, Griz anchored an offensive line that was instrumental in producing 459 points and 17 victories in 20 games. He and his linemates opened holes for hall of famers Ted Barrett and Frank Strachan, and held back a pass rush which allowed Jim Johnson to be successful through the air.
In 1983, Kevin's senior year, he captained the red and white, he also took on an additional role as a regular on the defensive side of the ball. As a defensive tackle he was outstanding in a hard fought 12-7 win over Bishop Feehan and a 33-0 shutout of Attleboro on Thanksgiving.
Kevin was recognized for his achievements on the football field as he was selected twice to the Hockomock League All Star Team. As an offensive tackle, he was also selected to the Sun~Chronicle All-Star Team in 1983. That same year he received his most prestigious award, when he was selected as a Boston Globe Division ill All-Star.
After graduation Kevin continued his football career at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
