A standout in the North Attleboro tradition of fine running backs. Jack Harris was a three-year letterman and two-year starter on both offense and defense for the Red and White. As a junior, he guided North: to a stunning 16-6 victory over previously unbeaten Mansfield. scoring both Rocketeer touchdowns and gaining more than 100 yards rushing. In his final year, Jack co-captained the Bristol County League Champion Red Rocketeers and played a key role in the 8-6 win over Attleboro that clinched the league title. He returned to his alma mater as a member of the coaching staff that put together the Superbowl champions of 1973 and 1974. He also coached varsity baseball for a number of years.
