When Attleboro High produced its only undefeated, untied football team in 1941 , no little amount of the credit accrued to fast, hard-hitting guard Jack Remington. An unusual athlete, he played frequently in the backfield, but built his reputation primarily on his great blocking ability as a pulling guard. The Fall River Herald News observed on one occasion that Jack "saw much more action from his line berth, and his great blocking on end-around plays, which the Jewlers used to great advantage, figured prominently in the gains." As a senior. Jack received 13 scholarship offers and chose to attend Norwich before joining the army.
