Terry Buckley was a powerful two-way player on the standout Bishop Feehan teams of 1974 and 1975, teams which featured three other Hall of Famers in Henry McDeed, Peter Grundy, and Frank Luongo. A halfback on offense and cornerback on defense, Terry led the Shamrocks to close wins over Bourne, Wareham, and Coyle-Cassidy, in his junior year, scoring touchdowns in each of those contests and helping the Shamrock defense close down those teams with only one touchdown. As a senior. he twice scored two touchdowns in a game, and showed his versatility with several pass interceptions and clutch punts, including a 66-yarder against the wind in the Shamrocks' 14-6 win over Attleboro. Terry later attended the University of Connecticut, where he continued his exploits on the gridiron.
