For 25 years Bill Wayne enriched the Attleboro High School football program with his high level of dedication, loyalty, and coaching skills. Bills' no-nonsense coaching style, coupled with his constant emphasis on the fundamentals, shaped the skills of many future -Bombadier greats.
Following an outstanding football career at Lynn English, Bill joined the Marine Corps and served in World War II and Korea. The holder of a masters degree in physical education, Bill established the athletic program at South Attleboro Junior High School in 1955 and immediately began sending outstanding football players 1nto the high school program. He later took his highly disciplined approach to the high school, where he helped to shape some of Attleboro High School teams. Hundreds of Attleboro High School players are indebted to Bill Wayne for his outstanding contribution to their football careers.
