Chet Bodinski was a key contributor to some of the finest teams ever produced by the legendary Coach Raymond Yates. A true and all-purpose player, Chet was a standout fullback who ran , passed, punted, kicked off, kicked extra points, and played tough, alert defense. At his best in clutch situations, Chet shone brightest as a senior against Attleboro, when he pitched three touchdown passes in a 20-0 North win to secure an unbeaten season for the Red and White. On teams of standout players such as the Hall brothers, Harold and Ralph, Jerry Bozzo, and Johnny Simpson, Chet more than held his own. He was brilliant in his senior year against Durfee, doing the bulk of the ballcarrying, scoring a touchdown, passing for a conversion, and intercepting a Hilltopper aerial in a 13-6 orth win. He also set up the lone touchdown with passes and interceptions in a 7-0 North win over Walpole. Chet. whose brother Eddie is also a Hall of Famer, might have achieved even greater feats but for injuries that sidelined him during the course of his career.
