Biography

As a 6', 185 lb. Junior in 1988 Jeff Kraskouskas assumed the reigns as North Attleboro's quarterback. Together with Hall of Fame running backs Mark Newport and Randy Silvestri, Jeff directed the Red Rocketeers to their most productive offensive season (287 points) in years, to nine victories, and to the Eastern Mass Div. 3 Super Bowl for the first time since 1974. Kraskouskas proved he was one of the state's premier signal callers, leading all EMass Div. 3 quarterbacks with 14 TD passes.

Poised, able to pass on the run and to make "something out of nothing", Jeff capped a career in which he led North to 17 total victories, including a 4-0 record against arch rivals Bishop Feehan and Attleboro. Jeff's first varsity start was a thrilling 7-6 triumph over Feehan. Faced with a fourth down at the Feehan 14, and under siege with his receivers covered, Jeff's trademark scrambling ability enabled him to roll left and dump a desperation toss to Newport, who then broke 3 tackles to reach the end zone. In two Thanksgiving clashes against the Bombardiers, the Kraskouskas-Ied Rocketeers manhandled Attleboro 40-8 and 62-14. In those two game combined, Jeff completed 9 of 11 passes for 303 yards 3 TD passes, and he also rushed for two more.

Perhaps Jeff's best career game, came midway through his senior season in a 24-21 victory over a tough Canton squad. Jeff threw 3 TD passes and rushed for a fourth.

Jeff's impressive career passing statistics included 2,364 yards and 24 TDs, both of which are the 3rd highest totals in North history. He also rushed for 8 more TDs, twice was named a Sun Chronicle All Star, and in 1989 Jeff was selected a Boston Globe Div. 3 All Star, and the Hockomock League's Most Valuable Player.

Following graduation Jeff went on to play quarterback and defensive back at Columbia University.
