Don Thrasher officiated his first football game 46 years ago. Since that time he has been involved in hundreds of local high school and college games. He refereed his first of 37 Thanksgiving Day football games between Attleboro and North in 1963. Don recalls that although he was pleased to be part of such a great rivalry, his nerves were on edge before his first Turkey Day Classic. Thrasher has a lot of good memories about this rivalry. The one lasting memory is the great sportsmanship that has been exhibited by both schools. There has never been any major problem which is a testament to his fine work on the field. Don Thrasher will be officiating his final high school football game this Thursday. The Attleboro Area Football Hall of Fame wishes he and his family success and happiness in the future.
